Transformational Before & After in store experiential marketing for the L'Oreal SteamPod product activation, creating user led content

Brief

A live social-led video editing activation designed to capture before and after clips of models styled by hair salon influencers, using the new SteamPod 3.0. L'Oréal wanted to capture personal, user created content that would work with the activation to promote the product online, showcasing the effectiveness of in store experiential marketing.

Idea

We immersed guests in their own video shoots – intending to mimic the personal, one-on-one experience of visiting a salon, making it a prime example of in store experiential marketing. The before and after video clips were merged and edited to create beautiful, high quality, branded video clips that could be shared instantly on social media.

Results

Top hair salon influencers shared the videos of their before and after creations on Instagram stories and grids immediately, achieving a hyper-relevant reach of the new product through the in store experiential marketing strategy. Both hair artists and salons could share the content, expanding the digital reach even further.
