Immersive 360 AR video experience using digital 3D graphics animation and AI technology for the D&AD New Blood Awards 2024.
Brief
For the 2024 New Blood awards we partnered with D&AD for the second year running, this time as their exculsive cotent providers for the event, to develop an immersive video experience for their winners and guests. We are proud to be a long standing partner of D&AD and the New Blood Awards, held at Protein Studios in London, showcases the positive and impactful change D&AD is having for generations of future creative talent.
Idea
For this year’s awards, we reimagined our Winner’s Circle digital 360 AR video experience using the 2024 New Blood identity and graphics. By combining 3D graphics animation with AI and 360 video technology, guests could experience a completely immersive video booth, creating their own personalised content.
We installed the 360 technology in the main entrance of the awards so that guests could try the experience upon arriving at the venue. Winners were then brought to the booth to capture the moments directly after their win, a memory recorded in 360 to keep forever.
After recording their video on the 360 platform, they were then able to view and share the resulting AI content on the sharing screen so that they could use it on social media platforms instantly.
Results
The Winner’s Circle video experience was used throughout the night with most guests using the booth multiple times, both alone and in groups. Every winner received their personalised 360 video as a memorable record of their award winning moment.
The immersive experience was both impactful and visually dynamic, capturing memorable and touching moments of the winners. The videos captured were used on the New Blood website as well as being shared by guests and winners on their social media throughout the event, and during the days that followed, super boosting both engagement and reach for the awards.
