Our commitment to the environment

We monitor and seek to reduce our impact on the environment across all business operations. Our Carbon Intensity for Scopes 1 and 2 for the year 2019 - 2020 is 0.00003646 (which is graded as carbon neutral), however this doesn’t stop us from improving. So we went ahead and signed the UN Climate Change’s Race to Zero campaign - SME Climate Hub commitment.

We are committed to:

  1. Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030

  2. Achieve net zero emissions before 2030

  3. Disclose our progress on a yearly basis

We are also thrilled to have signed the Climate Pledge to meet the Paris Agreement’s goals 10 years early—and achieve net-zero carbon by 2040.

Supplier Sustainability Policy

We make sure to partner with the right people. Our aim is to ensure that we collaborate with suppliers who share our values regarding sustainability. As a starting point to entering into and maintaining a business relationship with Lighthouse, we expect that our suppliers, as a minimum, to follow our sustainability principles when conducting their own business. All the principles are included in our Supplier Sustainability Policy.

Supplier policy

In the provision of services to customers and clients, in relationships with suppliers and in the employment and development of all staff, we seek to ensure equality of opportunity and treatment for all. We acknowledge and value the importance of maintaining a diverse supplier base that is reflective of the diverse populations of the communities in which we operate. We monitor track diversity of ownership among our suppliers and have a policy to give preferences to suppliers with ownership from underrepresented populations.

Charity Policy

We are committed to make in-kind donations of at least 5% of our revenue each year to support charitable partners based in the UK. We determine collectively as a team which charitable partners to support every quarter to ensure we are working with the right partners.

Company Mission

We updated our Company’s Objects in 2021 to better reflect our company mission as a future B-Corp company.

The objects of the Company are to promote the success of the Company;

(i) for the benefit of its members as a whole; and

(ii) through its business and operations, to have a material positive impact on (a) society and (b) the environment, taken as a whole.
