Interactive Rio Carnavale touch screen activation, in collaboration with Tatil, for the 2024 D&AD Awards in London.
Brief
For the 2024 D&AD Awards in London, we partnered with Tátil to bring to life their award winning web experience ‘Rio Carnaval’. They wanted to recreate the experience live and integrate it into the opening night of the awards, to share with all of the judges and guests attending.
Idea
In order to make the activation as immersive as possible, whilst still being accessible, we transformed the web experience into an interactive large touch screen. Guests were invited to play live samba instruments, provided by the incredible London School of Samba, recreating the sounds of the iconic Rio Carnaval. The digital touch screen displayed the colourful brand design visuals responding to the live music.
These visuals were not only interactive by touch on the screen, but displayed live onto the large screen within the event space. Guests were also gifted a print of their unique musical visuals to keep as a memento of the evening.
Results
The activation was hugely popular throughout the opening event. The combination of interactive technology, colourful, eye catching visuals and dynamic live music provided an engaging content experience that kept guests both entertained and inspired, whilst also promoting Tátil and the work that they do as they expand their company to London. We loved bringing to life this exciting and colourful immersive software design in a live, event context.
